I'm Sheila, the idea-board of Lieblingsraum - a woman-owned
Interior Design company operating out of Wake County, NC.

Originally from Germany, I lived in the UK and in Switzerland,
and now call NC, USA my home - every new location came
with it’s own housing challenges which had to be taken into
consideration & I had to make sure that my family had a home
to settle into.

The transformation of a house into our home, let me explore further into function & mood, colors, materials... in short Interior Design. I decided to go back to school to be able to help you create your Lieblingsraum and graduated in Interior Design from the New York Institute of Art & Design.

My Lieblingsraum is not one room in my house, but different spaces in my home where I can think, imagine, create, be quiet and interact with the world if I want to. 

My lieblingsraum

Hand-drawn floor plans. I love drawing floor plans and elevations by hand. This allows me to envision the space in all three dimensions, considering the layout of the room and the impact of light and shadow.

PREFERRED MEDIUM

In April 2020, I was awarded the "Award of Merit" by the New York Institute of Art + Design for excellence in interior design.
